Volta FA organizing committee chairman assesses league after match day one

Mr. Hamza Mutala is the Volta Football Association Organizing Committee Chairman 

The Organizing Committee chairman of the Adonai Volta Division two league, Mr. Mutala Hamza has expressed confident of a successful league despite the agitation of the referees.

The league which took off on the 12th February saw all teams across Volta and Oti regions honor their respective matches.

Giving his assessment of the league after first league games, Mutala described the organization of the league as a good start despite admitting to some few hitches which the organization committee was working hard to salvage.

"I must say so far so good for the first round of games. Organization cannot be 100 percent, definitely there will be some lapses which we are solving"

Asked whether he was satisfied with the quality of football displayed by the teams, the chairman in his response gave a high score on the performance of the team believing that, Volta Region is gaining the needed recognition in football.

"The level of football we've watched here at the Ho Sports Stadium and the feedback we receive from other centers have given the region a good recognition. We are heading towards to becoming the best"

Touching briefly on the impasse between the referees and the FA, Mutala who have recused himself from speaking on the matter said, the FA will release a statement in the coming days to rest the issue. He also applauded the performances of the catch them young referees who officiated in the first round of matches.

" I have decided not to talk about this Referee issue, but there will be a communicae within the week to address the issue."

Match day two of the Adonai Volta Division two league is set to start across all league centers this weekend.
