Adonai Estate Limited and the Volta Football Association yesterday Friday 27th January entered into a sponsorship deal to the sum of GH¢25, 000 for the 2022/23 league season.
In what was a brief ceremony at the conference room of the Adonai Estate Limited saw both parties coming to terms with the contractual agreement as the league thus becomes Adonai Volta Division Two League.
According to the chairman of the Volta Football Association, part of the money will be used to subsidize the officiating fees paid by clubs on match days. A relief that is believed will go a long way to cushion the clubs during the league.
An elated chairman expressing his gratitude acknowledged Adonai Estate Limited for showing up to sponsor the regional football league, this he said the company coming on board is a history for the region and possibly the entire country. Agbogah however promised the estate company limited a good work to protect its cooperate image.
"We are grateful for this historic moment. Today we are here making history for our region, if not the entire country. We look forward to ensuring that cooperate image of Adonai Estate Limited is protected in the partnership in order to convince more sponsors."
Mr. Daniel Agbogah commended the efforts of the company for accepting to sponsor the league as he indicated that a dream to see Volta football becoming a hub can only be achieved by collective responsibilities with the inclusion of cooperate bodies.
"On behalf of the executive council and all the stakeholders of the RFA, I commend Adonai Estate Limited for opening their doors for us to attain this status. When we say we want to make Volta a model region, we mean it and this can only be a collective effort of everyone including the cooperate societies."
Rev. Dr. Charis Bright Adonai, the CEO of Adonai Estate Limited on the sponsorship said, a help to push the regional division two is achievable when all hands are together. He revealed his admiration for football, having watched the immediate past seasons with the aboundance of talents on display.
"I believe strongly we can help develop the division when we all put our hands on desk. The league was full of talents and I was surprised to see the level of quality being displayed by these young ones. I have been a fun of football and I watched the immediate past season."
Concluding, the business man was excited to be on board to help the region forward.
Present at the ground breaking ceremony from the Regional FA was the Secretary of the FA, Promise Ahiagba and two other Executive Council members Foster Kudiagbor and Wisdom Bakah Junior as well the the chairman of the Volta Regional football association Mr. Daniel Agboga.
