NSA denies Volta Rangers access to the Ho Sports Stadium for match friendly

Stadium under locked to prevent Volta Rangers have their preparatory game for the up coming MTN FA cup on Saturday 

Volta Rangers got the shock of their life after the Volta National Sports Authority denied them access to the pitch yesterday.

The people's club had wanted to test their mussels in what was to be a preparatory game towards their crunch FA cup game on Saturday against Akosombo Krystal Palace.

A directive from the Regional Director for NSA Volta that the stadium be closed which stopped the friendly match between the division one side against Dynamo FC yesterday at the Ho Sports Stadium.

Efforts from a fan to sign a cheque of four hundred Ghana cedis(Gh¢400.00) as was the fee for the use of the facility to have the stadium opened ended fruitless as NSA again refused to accept the mode of payment.

Fans were left disappointed following the mishap as Volta Rangers left the scene without the friendly.

Meanwhile, a staff at the NSA who wishes to remain unanimous said, Volta Rangers failed to prompt the office earlier as the regional director was not in the known of the said friendly match.

He further revealed that, a golden rule binds the two parties that, there won't be any training nor a friendly match on the pitch except that of their Division one league and FA cup games despite it was Volta Rangers taking up the cost of renovating the dressing rooms, safe zone and the tunnel.

Volta Rangers will lock horns with fellow division one side, Akosombo Krystal Palace in the MTN FA cup match come Saturday January 21 at 3pm in Ho.
