Ghana FA and Saudi Arabia Football Federation signs MoU

Kurt Simeon Okraku and Yasser Al Misehal signing an MoU for Ghana FA and Saudi Arabia Football Federation 

Despite Ghana's early exit at the on going FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the Ghana Football Association led by Mr. Kurt Okraku has entered into an understanding with the gulf football federation.

An MoU signed by the Saudi Arabia Football Federation and the Ghana Football Association according to a statement released, will help both parties in areas of grassroots to elite football including youth and women's football.

The agreement will also aim to develop strong relations between the two federations to help the promotion, growth and success of football at all levels.

Speaking on the partnership Mr. Simeon Okraku said, the long standing relationship with the Saudi Arabian football federation needed to be expanded in areas that unites the people.

"Ghana has a longstanding relationship with Saudi Arabia and it is only right that we expand this level of cooperation to football, an area that unites people.

Ghana FA president did not minced words to state that, 'our brothers at the SAFF led by President Yasser Al Misehal have clearly demonstrated their desire to strengthen their football to reach the highest level and we also have same vision so it is essential for us to partner in various areas of the game to achieve our aims and objectives"

An excited Yasser Al Misehal was pleased to establish this partnership with Ghana FA as he touts Ghana for having enormous talents known over the world.

"We are excited to establish this MoU with the Ghana Football Association. The quality and talent in Ghanaian football is known across the world and we at SAFF are keen to work closely together to allow our youngsters to gain valuable playing experience while benefiting from their key insights and strength"

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Thursday December 8, 2022.
