| Precious Nunana Okoh gave a stupendous performance to become 2022 Translight Solar Tennis Super Cup |
Precious Nunana Okoh emerged as the winner in the female's category of the Translight Solar Tennis Super Cup beating Yvonne Bruce Tagoe in the women's final.
The competition which started on the 26th of September to 1st October at the Accra Sports Stadium involved the Men's Open, Women's Open and as well as the celebrities, club and corporate games.
Precious, a member of the Ho Tennis Club sailed through to the round of 16, beating Hephzibah Appiah from Ashaiman in a 6-2, 6-3 contest. Cruising to the quarter final, Nunana again rised to the occasion by ending the dreams of Yayra Komashie also from Ashaiman but based in KNUST beating her, 6-0, 6-1.
In the semi finals, Precious Nunana blister to beat Ghana's number one female tennis star Annette Cruickshank 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 to make time with seeded Yvonne Bruce Tagoe.
A 6-4, 6-4 resounding victory went to Precious Nunana Okoh after stunning Yvonne Bruce Tagoe in the finals to lift the trophy.
Nunana classic performance over the years have fetched her several awards. This she said was due to her consistency at training and also the help of God.
"It was God and consistency, I trained very hard for this. It was a difficult game but I believed in myself that I will win this cup and so I did. Thanks to all who supported and encouraged me" she said.
Fans who thronged the Accra Sports Stadium to watch the Translight Solar Tennis Super Cup received several awards.
