The Ho Municipal Division three middle league geared off today at the Ho Sports Stadium with group A teams logging horns in match day one.

City Stars played away from home in what was the first group A opener to Soccer Masters who failed to bring their master craft  to bare. They were thumped by a lone goal, a result that became the final after the 90'.

A  Ahinkira Isaac sumptuous free kick beat goal keeper Badi-Kuma Prosper to a goal in the 65'. A well taken free kick received the applauds from the stands as fans could not help but join in the celebration.

Soccer Masters went on a restoration spree building up their game with the hope of equalizing before full time but their attacks were porous to make an impact failing to capitalize on any of their chances created as City Stars despite a slow start, made a peg at defence to deny any attacks from their foes.

Later in the day, it was Diamond FC who pulled first blood in the 24'. A goal from Skipper Maxwell Agbagba in the first half gave the Kpetoe lads huge confidence as they try from long range to increase their tally. Supreme FC became a stronger side at their own half but lack of creativity up front became the barrier to send the game to a recess with the scoreline at 1-0.

Supreme tried showing their supremacy in the second phase as they kept knocking the doors of Diamond FC. Despite the lead, Diamond FC were unable to convert the chances that came their way with Alhassan Abdul Basit incursions on the left flanks went wasted.

Group A remains open, the draw between Supreme FC and Diamond FC sees City Stars leading the group after their 1-0 win over Soccer Masters.
