Diamond Football Club sealed a second division qualification after beating their foes 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The much anticipated game was witnessed by hundreds of football loving fans who thronged the Ho Sports Stadium to watch the two sides display good football.

Joseph Tetteh only needed 15' into the first half to record his first goal for the Kpetoe lads. A well orchestrated attack at the far end saw on rushing Maxwell Agbagba sending in a curler for Joseph Tetteh to head home the first goal.

Royal Professionals after conceding in the early stage of the game tried to make amends as they surged forward with the hope to pull a leveller.

The game which saw Diamond FC controlled the greater part in the first half found Joseph Tetteh who was on time to respond to a call, netting in his second in the 41'. A low drive from Joseph displaced goal keeper Appiah Navas as little could be done.

At half time, a loss of concentration from Diamond FC left them conceding as Royal Professionals only goal in the 46' became the consolation for the takla lads

Royal Professionals even with a goal down, pressed deep as they worked around to equalize but Diamond's composure at defense remained formidable to deny the takla boys.

An additional time of 4' could not birth any goal as final scoreline settled by the dust was 2-1 for Diamond FC.

The win for Diamond FC means, they play in the Volta regional division two next season.
