The Ho Sports Stadium became the center of attraction as Volta Rangers superiority was put to test against a buggy side, in the ongoing Volta FA middle league.

Thousands of football loving fans graced the stadium to catch glimpses of Volta Rangers setting up a division one campaign with a convincing win against Sharp SC.

The second game of the day saw Rangers beating Sharp SC 2-0 thanks to Ati Sena 58' and Safianu 63' goals.

Despite Rangers incessant attacks coupled with hard luck, Sharp solid defense was a delight as they remained resolute by warding off their opponent to send the first half to a 0-0 draw.

Sharp SC could not hold the forth after recess as Volta Rangers kept pressing which led to the first goal. A beautifully incursion from Safianu Abdul Karim at the left flang saw a connection from Ati Sena, beating goal keeper Prince Owusu in the process.

An already charged atmosphere flamed up after Safianu teased Sharp SC's defence to record the second goal of the day.

Sharp SC could not find antidotes to the two goals as center referee's additional 3' were enough to end the game.

Earlier, it was Kickers FC who picked the vital win having beat Trinity Stars with a lone goal.

Both teams remained cautious with limited chances to count as a not too pleasing display by both teams ended the first half barren.

After numerous chances wasted, Joshua Agorsor for Kickers in the 49' put some smiles on the faces of their fans who seem disappointed at the chances wasted.

Trinity Stars tried to restore parity, but all efforts to level the game fell on rocks as the game ended 1-0 in favour of Kickers FC.

Tomorrow promises another cagey group A encounter in the ongoing Volta FA division 2 middle league with Vora FC booking a date with Roberto FC as Agbogba up against Young Desert Warriors.
