The Member of Parliamentary for South Tongu, Hon. Wisdom Kobena Woyome has presented to the Ho Sports Stadium, 4 street lights to be fixed at vantage points.

This kind gesture was done on Sunday June 26 as means of supporting lighting systems in the stadium.

Speaking with 24hourssports.com, the MP revealed the reason for donating the items

"The entire place was getting too dark so I realized they need to embark on some process to get the place lit so that, activities that goes into the night can be observed without any hindrance, so I decided to donate some street lights."

The Ho Sports Stadium has become the only sporting facility to host sporting events in the region, despite the calls to government for urgent renovation of the stadium which have gone unheard, the stadium built in the days of Acheampong's regime hosted series of events regardless. This the MP has said, he will use his office to lure private investors to come on board and fix the stadium especially the popular stands.

"I have actually noticed that, a few things needs to be done, not necessarily from me directly but I can use my good office to lobby some works to be undertaken from the private sector as quickly as possible"

"The other stands (popular stands) can get some private entity to come and partner the FA/NSA to get a befitting set of stands. I have already spoken to some companies and we will start to process the initiative to see how it goes" he said.

The Ranking Committee Member of Parliament for Youth, Sports and Culture was in the company of Agarve Glad Ladies FC at the Ho Sports Stadium on Sunday to motivate the female's team who played in the just ended Volta women's division one middle league.
