Vora comes clean in maiden Volta FA Cup tourney

Vora SC made it to the next stage of the maiden Volta Regional Football Association Cup tournament which took off yesterday at the Ho Sports Stadium.

Old folks, Victory Stars despite a 1-1 draw at full time, failed to convert their penalties as they got beaten by 3-2 in the shootouts.

The first half of the game was quite dicey for the two teams who failed to take up the chances that came their way.

Vora was first to score, thanks to Atsu Mensah's brilliance in the 61' hour mark. 

Victory Stars refused to give up the chase in an attempt to draw level. Their effort was rewarded with a goal in the 70' to make a case of a possible 90' draw. 

It was Vora who ousted Victory Stars after the penalty shootouts to book a round of 16 penultimate.

Vora has met the buggy side twice already with wins over the Dzemeni Tongor lads.
