The Ho Sports Stadium this afternoon witnessed two rivals in the on going Volta Regional Div 2 league where Volta Rangers in match week 2 welcome Home Stars to the Ho Sports Stadium in what many described as the big clash.

The match brought the excitement it could after football loving fans in their hundreds graced the stadium despite seeing a barren first half.

Both teams remained cautious to avoid picking a ball at the back of their net before recess

It was Volta Rangers who registered the first goal of the day, thanks to Justice Agugre who head home a fine cross from Ati Sena to send Rangers up in the lead.

Home Stars in an attempt to restore parity were caught ones again on the counter as  Salim Abdul Karim made it two for the Kodjobi lads.

The stadium went agog as fans of Volta Rangers were seen cheering their team to victory.

Home Stars created some decent chances hoping to draw level but all efforts wasted. A penalty awarded by center referee Churchill Oforikuma was the only consolation goal scored by the visiting team as Stephen Addor made no mistake to send goal keeper Iddrisu Sulemana the wrong way.

Volta Rangers after match week two, have amassed 6 points with 4 goals in their basket, conceding only a goal in the process.
