Volta FA to introduce regional FA cup tourney

The Volta Regional Football Association in its annual Congress on Thursday, 3rd February  said the association will introduce a regional FA cup competition amongst the Div 2 clubs in the region.

In what would seem to be a maiden tournament, the regional football chairman at the Congress explained to the representatives of clubs, the format of the competition stating that, the winner and  runners up of the Regional FA cup will join the finalists of the  middle league teams who will eventually represent the region in the national FA cup games.Speaking to some clubs representatives, they expressed their joy for the good initiative the Volta Football Association has outlined, this they hope will yield a positive result for the good of Volta football.

The Volta Regional Football Association has received several applauds from all quarters having done well in the previous season.

An introduction of the Regional FA cup means, football loving fans will have more games to enjoy coupled with the regional division 2 league set to start on 19th February, 2022.The Congress held at the Mawuli Senior High School auditorium brought all stakeholders, clubs owners and administrators to discuss and agree on a number of proposals from the regional governing football body, the Volta Regional Football Association.
