Diamond outshined White Dove in a 3-0 mauling

The Ho Municipal Football Division 3 Middle League entered Match Day 3 yesterday October 1

Diamond FC emerged victors after beating White Dove 0-3 to make a claim in the on going Division 3 Middle League.


Tei Joseph made no mistake after a fine pass from Augustine Wiashie located him in the danger zone of White Dove leading to a goal in the 17'.

It was Diamond FC who enjoyed the greater possession of the game as White Dove worked hard to prevent highly spirited Diamond FC from scoring.

Dzah Manasseh in the 42' got a chance to pull level through a penalty awarded them but blown the ball over the post

White Dove took the game to Diamond FC after recess, the Sokode lads kept pushing for a goal after taking control in midfield but Diamond FC was up to the task to ward off any attack.

Another goal courtesy Alhassan Mumuni in the 65' was enough to end the hope of a come back from White Dove.


Augustine Wiashie in the 78' missed a glorious opportunity to make it 3 when goal keeper Justice Darko neatly parried the ball to a corner denying Augustine Wiashie the chance to score from the spot.


Referee Prince Sunuku awarded the third penalty of the game to Diamond FC after an infringement in the penalty area. Justice Darko this time became unlucky as Augustine Wiashie sent goalkeeper the wrong way to seal Diamond's 3-0 victory.

The man of the match was awarded to Augustine Wiashie after putting up a stupendous performance in yesterday's game

The win for the Kpetoe based side means, a play-off in group B will be considered to break the tie as all 3 teams having 3 points each. This was according to the Special Rule accepted by the participating clubs in the on going Division 3 Middle League.
