Volta Rangers fought back to draw Oti Warriors as Roberto's narrow win bears fruit

The Volta Regional Division 2 Middle League entered match day 3 at the Ho Sports Stadium with games gradually settling the dust for which team makes the trip to Division 1.

It was a mix reaction after Yadzo Oti Warriors holding Volta Rangers to a 1-1 draw denying the 'Here to Stay' lads all 3 points to increase their numbers to 6 on the league log.

Yadzo Oti Warriors 23' goal by Abdul Aziz Mensah created a bit of tension for Rangers as they put pieces together to respond 10' later, a goal Safianu Usman equalized.

Safest pair of hands, Farouk Mohammed of Volta Rangers was called on duty many times as the 'grass to grace' warriors of Oti shooting from behind to find the winner.

The Rangers enjoyed greater possession with Oti Warriors tactical play denied Volta Rangers from being the victors.

Victory indeed came to Roberto FC to keep their hopes alive going in to the next stage of the Volta Regional Division two middle league.

The 'Victory is Ours' spirit in Roberto FC led them drew first blood in the 39' when Simon Nutakor beautifully sent home a volley which became the only goal to separate the two sides.

Group A after match day 3 has seen Volta Rangers amassing four points with four goals in their basket to lead the table followed by Akatsi All Stars despite losing to Roberto FC occupying second with no goal  over Roberto FC who also have three points and minus three goal as against Yadzo Oti Warriors who is out of contention earning just a point.

Group B games comes your way on Thursday September 9, 2021 as which team on qualification path to the Division 1 looks blur.
