It was never a dull moment at the Ho Sports Stadium in the on going Division 2 middle league.

Sons of Thunder beat Bebeto FC in match 1 of Match Day 2 to secure all 3 points. Bebeto FC failed to live up to the hype after they were mellowed 2-1. It was Sons of Thunder who took an early lead few minutes into the game after Abass Mumuni benefited from a loose ball to send home a low drive. Bebeto managed to pull even after recess, a goal courtesy Edmund Bansah in the 56'.

A more attacking play from Sons of Thunder in the final minutes of the game proved a worth as they got the winning goal in the 78' cruising to victory.

In other news, Home Stars managed a narrow win over Agbogba FC. A goal scored from the spot courtesy Julius Okoh in the 3' of play was enough to fetch the Soccer Apostles all three points. Agbogba despite a goal down were dictating paces as they surged forward looking for an equalizer. Home Stars resorted to a tactical defensive game having taken the lead allowing Agbogba FC coming into the game attacking. The second half saw a dilly dally affair as both teams got decent chances but were wasteful. Roland Numenyah was gifted with a clear chance to increase the tally to two but failed to capitalize on Godfred Kpozo's defensive error.

Center referee Esoh Doh Morrison ended the game after additional time of 4 with Home Stars winning 1-0.

Thursday comes with another fixture where Agbogba FC welcomes Sons of Thunder while Bebeto FC plays as a guest to Home Stars in Match Day 4 of the Volta Regional Division 2 middle league.
