Match Preview: Akatsi All Stars vs Home Stars; who becomes the king of Volta football?

The Ho Sports Stadium becomes the center of attraction as both Stars goes for glory in picking up the only Division 1 slot

The journey for glory ends today at the Ho Sports Stadium. The battle for supremacy in the association football has become nothing short of goals, and the cheering fans having a good time with a win to take home.

Akatsi All Stars defied all odds to appear in the play-off of the Volta Regional Division 2 middle league. Having had a tough time in Group A facing teams like Volta Rangers and beating them 1-0 in the process, they suffered a disappointing loss to Roberto FC as they managed a win against Yadzo Oti Warriors to arrive at 6 points to lead their group. It was no coincidence that they became winners of Group A, the Miator Miator lads will at this moment wish for nothing than picking the only slot to represent Volta Region in Division 1.

Prosper Dorkenoo, head coach of Akatsi All Stars has kept faith with his boys in the 4-2-3-1 formation, at a time, varies to 4-3-3 attacking system which has helped him in wins against Yadzo Oti Warriors and Volta Rangers respectively.

Prosper and his boys will be expected to deploy similar strategy against a good side noted for man marking.

Home Stars are arguably the most experienced team in the middle league to have repeatedly appeared in the final of the middle league play-off twice in a row.

After beating Agbozume Weavers three seasons ago, it took a protest to deny the 'afeviwo' playing in the Division 1 league. However, the Soccer Apostles are up again to determine their fate.

Home Stars have managed all wins in the middle league group B matches with the 100% winning record (W-3, D-0, L-0). The Ho based team are by far the best in the middle league with the unbeaten record.

Expect not too many goals in this contest as the final scoreline is expected to end in an Under 3.5 goals.
