A staunch Arsenal fan bleeds; pens emotional letter to Arteta

Ahadzi Edudzi Randy (left) writes to Mikel Arteta, urging the gaffer to resign as Arsenal Manager with immediate effect

Arsenal Manager, Mikel Arteta has been under criticisms for poor show since the start of the 2021/22 English Premier League season.

The gaffer has so far lost 3 matches with the first against newly promoted side, Brentford, defeating the gunners in a famous 2-0 win. The gunners lie bottom on the league table with no points and minus 9 goals

Fans of the London club have called for the head of the young manager after suffering what a section of the fans called as a usual loss to defending champions Manchester City.

Ahadzi Edudzi Randy is staunch Arsenal fan, the media practitioner who is currently the morning show host for Global FM in Ho, Volta Region has written an emotional letter to the manager. In the letter, Randy showed his disappointment at the manager and could not come to terms with the defeat suffered at the mercy of Brentford.

Below is the letter in full written by the host of Sports Eye on Volta 1 TV.

An Open Letter To Mikel Arteta

Dear sir, I bring you warm felicitations from a city called Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana. Sir, I trust you are doing just fine , I must say I admire you a lot, indeed you were a gem during your playing days at Arsenal, no one can ever dispute that.

My admiration increased even more when on 20th December 2019, Arsenal appointed you as the new head coach. Arsenal finished the league season in eighth (8th), their lowest finish since 1994–95, but beat Chelsea 2–1 to earn a record-extending 14th FA Cup title.

That alone is a plus and that gave me higher hopes of what to expect in the coming seasons. Hmmmmm, but 'Coachito', I must say ,you have really disappointed me and many others who held onto the conviction that you were the 'saviour' . I must confess, my heart has been in pains since our defeat to Brentford and I don't even know how long it's going to take before I get healed.

I'm not heart broken because I am very much used to it but the pain is just too severe. Sir, at this point, I have no idea whatsoever is going on at the club. The Arsenal I used to know, the Arsenal I used to enjoy watching and the same club I have supported right from childhood looks not the same at this current moment.  'Coachito', I know you are a great coach but at this point, it will be great if you consider stepping down honorably.

The Kings of London we used to be has now metamorphosed into something else . We are now losing transfer deals to clubs who were never at any point in our shadows. A typical example is losing a long term target Emiliano Buendia to Aston Villa, that guy has been on our radar for some time now but.

Hmmmm....! My biggest disappointment came when we lost to a newly promoted side, Brentford, oh gosh! that night was a night of nightmares....

Arsenal is a club that should be competing with bigwigs and in top notched competitions like UEFA Champions League or even the UEFA Europa League. It looks so glare that you are simply incompetent to handle the team you have once played for. Let me ask you, 'Coachito, are you happy how things are going?  Ponder over this and draw your conclusion. Be wise enough, man up and tell the world, you are OUT. We will gather and clap for you because that's what will save all of us from this shambolic, disgraceful performance by you.

Finally 'Coachito', don't be discouraged, look for another team and try them, perhaps you could be better there but for our dear club, Arsenal, please pack your things and vamoose. I can recommend you to Asogli United, a Ghanaian Juvenile team here in Ho, who knows, you could turn your fortunes around and become Great.

Enough is Enough. No more heart breaks Sir!

Thanks so much

Yours faithfully,

Ahadzi Edudzi Randy

(Loyal Arsenal Fan)
