Two Class One referees from Volta Region have been recommended to undergo medicals and fitness test to become FIFA referees.
Rustum 36, and Selorm Yao Bless 32, will undergo a mandatory medical and fitness test before attaining FIFA badge, a requirement necessary for referess due promotion.
In a statement released by the Ghana Football Association official website, explained that, FIFA referees, Assistant FIFA referees and potential FIFA referees go through this process yearly.
"FIFA referees, Assistant FIFA referees and potential FIFA referees from member associations go through this process annually"
The statement also read, the selected referees will be subjected to a medical test at designated healthcare facilities in the country, followed by FIFA fitness test scheduled to take place in Kumasi.
"The medical test will take place at Sunshine Healthcare and at 37 Miliary Hospital. The referess will later undergo a rigorous FIFA fitness test at Paa Joe Park in Kumasi on Saturday, August 28, 2021."
Rustum Gameli Senorgbe and Selorm Yao Bless have shown a high level of professionalism in their line of officiating the Ghana Premier League this season, with high profile matches to their name.
Ghanaians have sung praises of their impartiality having officiated controversial matches to put them to test.
The final report of the medical and fitness test will be forwarded to FIFA and CAF for promotion.
