The third edition of the International Sports Press Association, AIPS has seen three Journalists from Volta Regional capital, Ho ranked high in their respective works submitted for awards.
Tilda Elinam Acolor, Yaw Ansah-Asare and Christian Chibueze having submitted their works was described as an inspiring level of journalistic content which saw the trio ranked high in the Sport Media Awards held.
In the category of Video Athlete Profile, Christian Chibueze was nineth after having an exclusive interview with star Joseph Narcel Battah, Yaw Ansah-Asare also came second in the Photography Sport Action in a boxing bout and Tilda Elinam Acolor who is currently the best GJA Sports Journalist of the year in the Volta Region, an award she has won three times consecutively came nineth after submitting an audio piece of the state of sanitation in some sporting facilities in the Volta Region. The GBC Volta Star Sports Journalist is the only female amongst a populated male Journalists in the region.
This edition of the AIPS awards has over 1000 submissions in 129 nations as sports journalists over the world submitted their works in the year under review.
