Sports Writers Association of Ghana 'SWAG' earlier today met the Sports Minister in his office for the first time since his appointment as the Minister of Sports.
The meeting which was aimed at discussing possible collaboration with the media on sports development, promotion and branding turned out to be successful with both parties full of smiles after the meeting.
Hon. Mustapha Usif during the meeting assured SWAG members of government's commitment to sports development. The Minister also revealed government already considering to host the African Games come 2023. He also stressed on the revival of School Sports festival and government willing to support all Sports Federations especially the top sports
It was revealed at the meeting that, the Hon. Minister will in the coming days embark on a Regional tour to engage all stakeholders of sports. He is expected to schedule a meeting with the General Assembly of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana.
Present at the meeting was the president of SWAG, Mr. Kwabena Yeboah, SWAG General Secretary Charles Osei Asibey and host of other dignitaries.
