Black Statelites dashed dollars after winning U-20 Afcon

The president of the republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has gifted the national U-20 team including the technical team a whooping sum of $330,000 as bonus for winning the ultimate.


Black Statelites beat Uganda 2-0 in the final game to lift the trophy, a goal courtesy Hearts of Oak youngster Daniel Afriyie Barneie scoring a brace to ensure the satellites cruised to victory.


The entire team arrived at the Kotoka International Airport on Monday and on Tuesday paid a visit to the president at the Jubilee House to present the trophy to the first gentleman of the land.



H. E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo was full of joy to receive the young lads to his office. This he congratulated them for winning the trophy despite a shaky start in the tournament.


Addressing both the technical and the playing body, the president expressed gratitude in  the team for winning the trophy. 



President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo informed the Satellites about government decision to present $10,000 to each player as a token for the feat they chalked and making Ghana happy.


Issahaku, Afriyie Barneie, Danlad and head coach Karim Ziti to recieve $5,000 each, a donation the president has announced to make for their individual performance.
