Afcon fever: Andre, Jordan and Partey finally make the list

Just as it seems the Black Stars final double header in the Afcon qualifying stages may have nothing to do with Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey, reports gathered by revealed the Black Stars trio, have been called to take part in the Sao Tomme and Principe game to be played in Ghana.

The players will sit out against South Africa due to the coronavirus protocol of a mandatory 10 days as visiting people to the country would have to undergo.

Head coach of the Black Stars, C.K. Akunnor in his latest call up excluded the England based players with no reason to the exclusion.

But the reports on the desk of 24hourssports has it that, the trio were left out because of fear of coronavirus.

The new twist means the players will meet up with the remaining team to see the end of the qualifications to the Afcon to be staged in Cameroon come 2022.

The gaffer, earlier made a call up of only local players, before trimming it down to 29 with a blend of foreign and local players to number.

Black Stars will play as a guest to South Africa in the return fixture of the on going Afcon qualifiers with Black Stars nailing the Bafana Bafana boys 2-0 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
