Both Hearts and WAFA supporters union engaged in a friendly match to climax new year celebration. |
Hearts of Oak's Chapter 176 and WAFA supporters union played a friendly match at the New Bakpa Festival Park to mark the celebration of the New Year.
The friendly game between the two supporters union was to foster a healthy relationship between the two unions going forward.
The friendly match which is billed to be played annually is the first of its kind in the New Bakpa community, a move the organizers says has come to stay.
Both unions displayed an entertaining football to the admiration of the thousands of fans who gathered at the park to watch their favourite team play.
The 90' ended in a goalles draw as center referee Godwin Goka got a goal disallowed for the home side, Lawuvi Wisdom's low drive was eventually ruled as offside.
Ibrahim Jacob Ayitey of WAFA supporters union was adjudged the best player whilst Emmanuel Azadda taking home the best goal keeper ahead of Hearts Chapter 176 goal keeper.
Other dignitaries gracing the occasion were Hon. Ability Hadzor the Assemblyman for New Bakpa, Henry Tetevi, Chairman of Hearts Chapter 176 supporters union, Tony Amanor Calvin, Director of Compassion International Ghana and Yohanes Hadzor Nugbe, chairman of WAFA supporters union made donations with assorted drinks, a bag of sachet water and a cash prize.
