Hearts of Oak survived an early scare from ten-man Elmina Sharks when the pair settled for a point each in Sunday's late evening kickoff at the Ndoum Sports Stadium.

Yaw Acheampomg and his charges were looking to remedy their heavy drubbing at the hands of Karela United at Aiyinase - Nzema a week ago.

Their hardwork in training paid off, as they started the early exchanges of the duel in a fantastic fashion, creating multiple chances, which finally payoff following a moment of brilliance from midfield maestro,James Bissue, who delivered a masterpiece to outwit the Hearts of Oak  defence edging his side into the lead.

The Phobians awaken by that goal nearly found their tales back into the game after the half-hour mark but goalkeeper Bawa Martey was up to the task producing a stupendous save to give his side the lead heading into the first half.

The second half will see Hearts of Oak's resilience payoff as they grab the equalizer through Victor Aidoo(third goal the season), who was quick off the mark to head in a perfectly weighted cross from captain Fatawu Mohammed.

This draw sees the Sharks move down to 8th with 10 points whiles Hearts knock on the top four door with 12 points.

Elmina Sharks travel away to struggling King Fiasal whiles Hearts will be at home to Eleven Wonders.
