SWAG-Volta held end of year Soiree

Members of SWAG-Volta posed for the camera at the end of year Soiree


The Volta Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana held its end of year Soiree in a grand style at the premises of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) office on 19th December, 2020.


Members of the association were in attendance to grace the occasion bringing its work under review to an end.





Chairman for the Volta Chapter, Eric Eli Adzie in his opening remarks, welcome the members for coming. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted on the progress the Chapter has made since its inauguration by National on 1st February, 2018. He indicated the Volta Region was the first branch to be born adding that, only continuous hard work as members of the association can enable us reach our target as a Chapter.


It was a night of fan, merry making as musicians Curl Black and Wicked Banks were present to offer soothing songs as members cheers them on in jubilation. 



An Ekow Quansah book tittled "Celebrations of Our World Champions Vol. 3" were given to Raymond Kudjo Tsiagbe, Yaw Ansah Asare, Reginald Ampong and a host of others for their research works, commitment and in other areas respectively as a sign of recognition by the Chapter. Richard Quainoo, a host of Swiss FM Sports show was also accorded a recognition for his meritorious work in the Sports Industry.



Other dignitaries who were present at the Soiree includes Mr. Harrison Kofi Berlley, Mr. Dzokoto Sepenyo and Mr. Kafui Gati.


Members of the SWAG-Volta Chapter ahead of the Soiree, held a meeting to discuss a number of issues that boarders on the progress of the Regional's Chapter.
