It was all joy at the Ho Dome EP Primary School Park after Swiss FM and Global FM/Volta 1 TV peace match ended in a 2-2 draw.
Swiss FM drew first blood, a goal courtesy Ned Manasseh earlier in the 3' of play time. A more entertaining game saw the thousands of supporters who thronged the park cheering as the game got tensed.
Team Swiss FM with Osei Foster aka Prezo making fine saves to put Swiss FM in the lead as team Global FM/Volta1 TV kept pushing for an equaliser before halftime.
Swiss FM spurned a two-goal lead after Elvis making it two in the 38' against team Global FM/Volta 1 TV to send the game to a 2-2 draw thanks to goals from Randy Edudzi Ahadzi in the 59' and Elorm Agidi also in the 70'.
The Municipal Chief Executive and Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party, Hon. Prosper Kofi Pi-Bansa in his peace address, advised the Youth to maintain peace before, during and after the General Election. The Hon. MCE also pleadged to peace insisting we as citizen of the nation owed it a duty, the need to maintain peace at all cost.
"As Youths, there is the need to maintain peace even before, during and after the election. I am therefore pledging to peace as it is our responsibility to ensure there is peace in the country." He said.
The Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education, Mr. Ken Kponor aslo encouraged all that gathered and are citizen of Ghana who has reached the mandatory age with sound mind to go out to vote come 7th December, Mr. Ken Kponor reemphasized the need to vote since voting is a Civic responsibility enshrined in the Constitution.
"I am also encouraging everyone of us who is at the age of 18 years and above with sound mind to go out and vote, it is a Civic responsibility to vote as Ghanaians, let us ensure there is peace even after the election."
The CEO of Sizla One Entertainment, Seth Dellings Nyasorgbor in his purpose of gathering address, revealed the reason behind the Exhibition Peace Match between the two media houses, this he said the media plays a major role in ensuring there is peace before, during and after the election. In what was a brief address, the CEO remained grateful to his team who has played vital roles to make the memorable peace match happened.
Other dignitaries present to witness the friendly match were the Deputy Regional Director of the NCCE, The Municipal Director and Mrs. Dellalli Enuams Agboloso also representing the Ghana Peace Council.
Guinness Ghana Ltd, Ghana Breweries Ltd, Adonai Estate Company Ltd, Kofi Cakes were sponsors of the Sizla One Entertainment Exhibition Peace Match. NDC Youth wing for Ho Central Constituency and Hon. Prosper Kofi Pi-Bansa also donated undisclosed amount of money.
