As a piece of advice, the revered Chief advised both the playing body and the Technical Management of the club to be fully committed. He added that, everyone in the club owe it a duty to ensure the club is successful in all areas.

“I am extremely happy to be a part of this grand occasion, indeed I am going to be the number 12 for the Volta Rangers FC, in all things, I want both the technical team and the playing body to be fully committed on the pitch and off the pitch. I want everyone in club to work hard towards achieving our goal for the club.”

Togbe Kasa III in his concluding remarks called for massive support for the newly based Kodzobi club to succeed adding that, without the support from the people, the club will not be able to reach its estimated target.

“I will also encourage everyone here to be the ambassadors of the club, without the support of the people, Volta Rangers won’t be able to get to the dreamland.”

In an interview with the General Manager of the club, Mr. Maxwell Amewor, revealed the reason to change Kodzobi Warriors to Volta Rangers FC.

“Basically, we believe we have reached a standard as a team where the club needed to be associated with the region and not just the town, this is why we decided to adopt the name ‘Volta’ to the Rangers to capture the people in the Volta Region”

Football in the region has been tagged as one that has lacked development; this Mr. Maxwell Amewor believed Volta Rangers has come to change the narrative as the main target of the club is to qualify to the Ghana Premier League in the not too distant future.

“Football in the region as compared to the other regions is lacking the development; we in Volta Rangers want that pride back Vora FC that is why we have decided to chart this path to become the first club to qualify to the Ghana Premier League”

The Regional division two league is yet to kick off across the country, with the birth of another new division two club in the Volta Regional Capital, one can be promised of an interesting league.
