Goran Barjaktarevic is confirmed to be sacked by Legon Cities |
Former Legon Cities head coach, Goran Barjaktarevic
has denied claims of him asking for the signature of the services of Asamoah
Gyan at Legon Cities. This shocking revelation was at the back of the sacking
of the coach for non performance.
Management of Legon Cities FC in an official statement on their website and on social media has said, the coach, Goran Barjaktarevic was no longer with them following the poor performance of the gaffer.
‘’Legon Cities announce that, coach Goran Barjaktarevic has left the club with immediate effect. The club would like to thank Goran for his services during his time at Legon Cities and to wish him success in the future’’ the statement said.
Goran in an interview with 24hourssports.com further disclosed that, management of the club rather decided to sign Asamoah Gyan, a request he never asked for.
“Asamoah Gyan is a good player every coach would need in his team, but I never requested for Asamoah Gyan at Legon Cities to be signed, it was the management that decided to sign him for the club, I was never informed about the intentions for Gyan’s coming to Legon Cites”
The former coach has only won three times since he was employed last year after 17 games. Reports indicates that, former Hearts of Oak coach, Kim Grant is in talks with Legon C ities to take over from the Serbian trainer after coach Ibrahim Tanko denying reports of him being linked to the Royals despite not ruling out of a possible move. Rumours also have it that, Ignatius Osei-Fosu is also on the radar of Legon Cities to be signed as head coach of the club.
