Awful night as Legon Cities humiliated by Accra Great Olympics

The Match Day two of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League saw Olympics host Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday night as Dade Boys beat the Royals 3-0.


Both teams were geared up with enough motivation after drawing in their respective games in the match day one.


Captain Gladson Awako of Olympics took the lead in a sublime free kick which took a deflection to beat Fatau Dauda to a goal on the night.


A rejuvenated Olympics took the game to the Royals as they push for their second goal. Legon Cities had no clue of how to break the defence of their guest as the game ended in a one goal to nill at halftime.


A second half game saw two goals coming from Maxwell Abbey through a penalty in the 53rd minutes and Samuel Quaye also in the 83rd minutes of game time.



Head coach of Great Olympics, Annor Walker speaking to 24hourssports.com praised his boys for a spirited performance on the night.


" I am happy about the result, we believe the game was not going to be easy for us,so we did a lot of work especially in our midfield, that's why you saw us dominating in the midfield, my boys have done so well, we will ensure we keep pushing in the on going league to remain in the league at the end of the season.


Accra Great Olympics have picked 4 points after two games in the Ghana Premier League.
