The new Kumasi Asante Kotoko board led by Dr. Kwame Kyei has yesterday afternoon, dissolved the management team following a meeting at the Sports Hotel in Kumasi.
This new decision ends their three year mandate with the club following the expiration of Dr. Kwame Kyei's first stinct as Executive Chairman.
George Amoako will leave his post as Chief Executive Officer alongside General Manager, Nana Gyambibi Coker, Nana Kwame Dankwa, Public Relations Officer Kennedy Boakye Ansah and others.
The official Twitter account of Asante Kotoko made the announcement earlier today and wished the outgoing members well.
"Board Chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei has dissolved the Management of the club following the expiration of his initial three-year mandate. Dr. Kyei has thanked them for their services and has also wished them well in their future endeavours. #AKSC #LetsFightCovid19" the statement said.
Other members who have been relieved off their duties includes:
Mr. Isaac Donkor – Director of operations
Dr. Jerry Pratt – Medical officer
Nana Kwame Dankwah – Deputy Greater Accra representative
Mr. Caleb Adams – Psychologist
Miss Rose Padmore Yeboah – Administrative Manager
Miss Lucy Josephine Andoh – Deputy Administrative Manager
Nana Akwasi Gyambibi – Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman.
Lawyer Sarfo Duku resigned from his role late November followed by Edmund Ackah in March after a disastrous fallout with the Executive Chairman.
In what will look like a new Kotoko, the new board have been tasked to ensure that the club maintains its superiority on the local scene, challenge for the honors on the continent and become an economic viable outfit.
Several names have been billed to take up the vacant Chief Executive Officer position, George Afriyie (Ex. GFA Aspirant) Samuel Osei Kuffour (Ex. Blackstars player), Frederick Acheampong (Ex. AshGold CEO), Nana Yaw Amponsa (Phar Rangers)
