George Amoako on the verge to be named as Accra Regional Rep of Kumasi Asante Kotoko

George Amoako until yesterday was the Chief Executive Officer for Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

George Amoako is set to be named the new Accra Representative for Ghanaian Premier League Giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko following the dissolution of his management team.

The Dr. Kwame Kyei newly led board decided against renewing the mandate of George Amoako and others who served on the management team after three years at the club.

According to information from close sources to the club, the highly respected football administrator, who has loads of experience underneath his belt will not be axed from the club as he will take up another role, which is not as glamorous as the earlier one he held.

He will however take over the vacant role of Accra rep from Edmund Ackah, who resigned following a disastrous fallout with Executive Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei.

The new board has been tasked to make the Kumasi based club a powerhouse on the continent, an economic viable outfit.

The position of the Chief Executive officer remains vacant as several names have been linked to the job. It's unsure who the new board will appoint to the position of Chief Executive Officer but former GFA aspirant George Afriyie,Ex Blackstars player Samuel Osei Kuffour, former Ashantigold CEO Fred Acheampong and Phar Rangers chief Nana Yaw Amponsah are potential candidates to assume the office.
