The Volta Regional Football Association, a subset of the Ghana Football Association has commended the mother body for the approval of the developmental funds that includes all the Regional FAs.
The funds are categorised into three sections; Central Fund, Medical Fund and the Special World Cup Benefit Fund.
The approval of the funds is to set up areas concerning the GFA to help improve the association at large.
Reacting to the Executive Council's onward approval, Mr. Daniel Agbogah, chairman of the Volta Regional Football Association has lauded the FA's decision to approve funds for the development of football at the regional level. This he said will awaken the hope amongst the football stakeholders in the region.
" I want to commend the GFA for the approval of funds for football development, this will serve as hope for the stakeholders in the game that football is coming back and I know, with time there will be light at the end of the tunnel" he noted.
The Central Fund which covers the Juvenile Football, Women's Football and all the Regional Football Associations shall receive funds to cater for the pressing needs in the respective areas of concern.
