Board chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV has been appointed as the head of the Autonomy Committee to spearhead the Ghana premier league. The decision to appoint the business mogul was taken by the 18 premier league clubs.
Mr Ansah of Ebusua Dwarfs and Delali Senaye of Inter Allies will make the list of premier league club members to serve on the committee as government adds other two members to bring the list to a five member committee.
The Ghana Football Association has decided to handle the Ghana premier league to an independent body to run the Ghana premier league as autonomous, a move the previous administration failed to do.
Meanwhile, Cudjoe Fianoo has welcome the decision for the Ghana premier league to go autonomous, citing his reason, Mr. Fianoo believe it will help re-brand the country's premier league to be more attractive.
Speaking further, the GHALCA chairman disclosed that, the previous administration feared the league may get all the attention from the Black Stars games a reason they failed to make the league an autonomous body.
" The previous administration feared because they think the league may be more attractive than matches of the national teams which they do not want it that way, how many players are in the Black Stars?" he queried.
