VORA DRAWS WITH POLICE NATIONAL IN FRIENDLY

Newly outdoored division 2 club, Vora FC drew 1-1 with Police National FC from Accra at the Ho Sports Stadium this afternoon.

The game became the first official game after the club was outdoored about two weeks ago.


Both teams were prepped up ahead of the friendly as Vora Football Club was hoping to begin the season with a resounding win against their foes.


Vora FC formerly of Voradep FC gave their fans a good game as they look to be the better side in the first half of play.

It was a dynamic football game witnessed by the spectators when Vora FC decided to play the possessive type of play, a couple of chances were missed by both teams leading the game to a barren scoreline before the half time.


After the recess, Police National showed their mettle as they had a couple of chances to bury the ball in the net but all went futile.

Vora FC kept pushing for an opener. It was moment of relief when a penalty was awarded to Vora FC after Prince Daakyehene was fouled in the penalty area after going solo to find the back of the net.

Fiifi Peterson converts from the spot kick to send Vora FC one goal lead ahead of Police National who later equalised through Eric Annor in the 89' of game played.


Fans were satisfied with a quality of play from both teams after the draw at the Ho Sports Stadium.

Vora FC is expected to play in the regional organised Div 2 league which is scheduled to start later in the month.
