SOCIAL WELFARE SCHOOL TO FACE 2 YEARS BAN

Social Welfare Vocational Training Centre (SWEVCO) set to be fined GH¢200.00 and subjected to be banned for 2 years after  they were found culpable for using 2 unqualified players at this year's Inter School Sports Festival at the Ho Sports Stadium.

The 46th edition of the Festival which ended on 5th March also saw students of the school agitating and consequently insulting officials including the Chairperson of the Central Zone School Sports Association after they lost the protest filed against them by Adaklu SHS (Adasec).

The Vocational Institution having been away from the School's Sports for 2 years returned to the scene with lots of energy and great display in the soccer boys category to the amazement of many, only to be known that they were using players who completed Sokode SHTS (Sostech) a year ago.

Sportsbiggesthint.com were able to record few moments of the misbehavior of the students of SWEVCO after verdict on their quarterfinal Game against Adasec was known to them.

Efforts however to get to the Head of the School, Madam Mercy Ayerh to speak to the issue proved futile but sources close to us says, she explained to the Chairperson (Mr Ayisah) her ignorance about the rule of players playing for other schools in the Zone after completion at another school in the same Zone.

The situation at the Stadium was an eyesore as some of the students wanted to fight with Chairperson of the Zone while the Coach and Teacher at the School, Joy Adjei failed to control the students who were rushed to the pitch in an attempt to stop other games from continuing.

Meanwhile, the players in question failed to present any prove that they're admitted students at SWEVCO while their records from Sostech, was presented as evidence to the protest by Adasec.
