GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE CONTINUES DESPITE CASES OF COVID-19 IN GHANA

The Ghana Football Association in a statement published on its website has said it will maintain the schedule of all competitions in the country.

In a joint press conference by the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Health, two reported cases of the Corona Virus has been recorded in Ghana. Affected persons according to reports has it that, two persons from Norway and Turkey have been tested positive.

" The GFA has decided to maintain the schedule of all competitions as we continue to liaise with government, the Ghana Health service and the Ministry of Health and follow all national health protocols on the matter" the statement said.

The Ghana premier league and all other leagues are currently on going, with the two cases recorded so far, the Ghana Football Association revealed it will continue to monitor the evolvement of the Corona Virus around the world and particularly in Africa.

Countries like Italy, Belgium, Spain etc have suspended their domestic leagues as it was reported several number of players were tested positive and are kept in isolation.

Arsenal Manager, Mikel Arteta has been reported to have contracted the deadly disease, other English premier league players are all in the news having been tested positive.

As to whether the decision by the GFA is a good measure or not is left in the hands of the public to judge.
