C. K Akonnor speaking at the press conference yesterday at the Accra City Hotel |
The African Cup of Nations qualifiers will have its way in the coming days across the continent.
Ghana will be hoping to extend its winning streak to 3 in Sudan encounter after seeing off Sào Tome and Prīncipe in both home and away games in the Match Day 1 and 2 respectively.
Charles Kwabla Akonnor, yesterday made a press conference to name his invited players ahead of the double header.
Ghanaians became divided in opinion with some having to accept the call up made by the gaffer as one of the best, others believe there are other players who have made a mark and deserve a spot in the national team.
C. K Akonnor, interacting with sportsbiggesthint.com, called for calm, insisting every Ghanaian player who is fit and in good form will definitely have a stake in the national team.
" I am aware not every one will be happy with my call up, but the national team cannot accommodate all players at ago, every player who is fit and in good form will surely be invited, the ones I have invited are fit for the job ahead, I think Ghanaians must exercise patience, once you are a Ghanaian player and doing well, I will find you"
Black Stars will play their 3rd qualifying game against the Falcons of Jediane on March 27 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium. This follows a return leg in Sudan at the Khartoum Sports Stadium on March 30.
