| Vora Football Club has been officially outdoored. |
It was a colourful ceremony at the Pleasure Gardens in Ho in the early hours of Monday, 24th February as fans and well wishers of the erstwhile Voradep Football Club popularly known as Vora-Vora was reborn and outdoored.
The gathering was graced by Hon. Prosper Pi-Bansa, Ho Municipal Chief Executive and other host of prominent people.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief of Hliha who doubles as the Chairman for the occasion Togbe Afele II in his remarks was delighted about the rebirth of Vora-Vora.
He emphasised on the need for the playing body to be sacrificial and discipline while advising the management team to be hard working and ensure a common goal is achieved.
Togbe Afele II shared fond memories of how Vora-Vora do command support even when playing away from Home. A confident Togbe Afele II believes those memories can be brought back if the playing body and the management team work selflessly.
"Vora-Vora has a lot of support base, even when the team travels to Kumasi, Tamale or Bolga, there are Ewe people who are ready to accommodate us for free, Voradep has made a name, every team fears us, if we want Voradep to be like it used to, then I will encourage you the players to sacrifice a lot, and to the management team, be hard working and selfless to achieve a common goal"
The Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Abdul Abdulai Turaway in his solidarity message, assured his support to the club, he however indicated the need for the club to establish themselves to bring back the lost glories.
Abdul Abdulai Turaway also appealed to the Municipal Chief Executive to come to the aid of the Youth in Ho by giving the stadium a facelift.
Other dignitaries who spoke at the occasion were the Director of National Sports Authority- Volta, Mr. Kwame Ampofi Jnr, an Executive council member of the Volta Regional Football Association, Mr Muturla Mohammed and the former Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Nelson Akorli.
The playing body and the management team of Vora Football Club were outdoored in a grand style to usher them into the next season.
