VORA FC PRESIDENT REVEALS HUGE PLANS FOR PLAYERS

President of Vora Football Club, Bonaventure Aguissi has promised to give the players of the club a future and not only focus on successes as footballers.

The President who was speaking at the inauguration of the club yesterday, says, he will equip the players with other skills in order to get other jobs aside football especially during retirement.

"Very soon, we will install computers for them so that they will know how to use computer, if you are in this team, you have to know how to drive. You will not only play to make the region or Ghana happy, we will also think about your development. The management team and myself will make sure your future will be guaranteed. We will come up with integrated farm, so that, at the end of the day, you are a footballer and a farmer or footballer and a computer engineer"

Also in his speech the Business man promised to use his relationship with Spanish giants, Barcelona to create an enabling environment for sports development in the region.

"I have a relationship with FC Barcelona, I have brought a top member of FC Barcelona to Ghana before, we met with the Minister for Youth and Sports, we have big plans because Ghana is a football country. Very soon, you may see some of them, when they come, we will bring them all the way to Volta region to greet all the power structures here"

In his concluding remarks, the president of Vora FC hinted on transporting players to FC Nantes in France as he has links with the French club.

"We have links with FC Nantes, I have personally sent some of my players to FC Nantes, so you can be assured to be sent to FC Nantes if you work hard"

He earlier expressed his joy in the confidence repost in him to revive one of the famous clubs in the Region and country at large.

"I would like to expressed my sincerest gratitude for the confidence reposed in me,  I'm really grateful and I salute all of you, may the almighty God continue strengthening you all"

Vora FC which was formerly Voradep Football Club made history in 1992 after beating the giants in Ghana football,  Kotoko and Hearts of Oak to lift the FA Cup trophy. This singular honor done by the club has craved many supporters far and near to love the club.

The revival, reestablishment and revitalisation of Voradep FC officially begun when Management and playing body of the new Vora Football Club was outdoored at Pleasure Gardens, Ho on Monday, 24th February.

Vora Football Club will be participating in the 2019/20 season of the Volta Regional Division 2 league, with a target of qualifying to Div 1 next season.
