MATCH PREVIEW: KARELA VS HEARTS

Karela lock horns with Hearts of Oak in Match Day 11

Karela United lost to Ebusua Dwarfs in the week 10 fixture. Nothing than a win against Hearts of Oak will make their fans happy again at Akoon Park this afternoon.

Hearts' last visit was a memory the Phobians are not willing to remember, the  3-0  defeat inflicted on them by Medeama in the week 2 of the ongoing league still lingers on as they go into another battle with Karela on the same pitch.

It will be difficult for Karela to repeat the painful defeat Hearts suffered here in Tarkwa, of course Karela inconsistencies at home has been thrown into doubt whether they can keep up the pace of Hearts trio in midfield. Karela saw a 1-1 draw with Medeama but beat Legon Cities to pulp in a 3-1 victory.

Many are of the view that, the change in match venue for the former Metropolitan Sporting Club has been a major factor for their dip in form.

Enos Adepah's coaching career will be on the line if he fails to win against a side whose away performance has been nothing but a delight to note

Edward Odoom will count on the services of Nettey and Frederick in today's encounter with Karela. Hearts cannot be oblivious of the threat Karela poses, however, knowing how he suffered an embarrassing defeat in the hands of Medeama in their Match Day 2 will give the gaffer a good insight to value his chances this afternoon.

I have on many occasions said, Odoom needs time to bring the best out of the boys, he was very clear the moment he was asked to step in as the head coach after Grant exit, since then, Edward has seen a number of away wins and satisfactory draws too.

Only Kotoko and Medeama defeat can rather be said of the low moments of the Hearts coach, but it is obvious to note that, getting 3 wins and 3 draws  with 2 loses for Hearts so far is best to call it a pass mark, considering the late signing he did for the club

Expect a difficult game for the two sides, Karela holds a better record against hearts playing at home despite the few matches played.

HEAD TO HEAD

Karela managed a 3-1 win against Hearts since appearing in the Ghana's top flight league in 2018.

Hearts will be looking forward to win Karela United for the first time away in the Ghana premier league.

Both teams has met only 3 times with Karela having to win twice and Hearts able to win just once in their outings.
