HEART OF LIONS GOALKEEPER DEDICATES WIN TO RAPHAEL DWAMENA

Emmanuel Ofori joins other host of players to wish Raphael Dwamena a speedy recovery.

Emmanuel Ofori, the safest pair of hands for Kpando Heart of Lions has dedicated their Match Day 4 victory over Okyeman Planners in the National Division One League to his childhood friend Raphael Dwamena.

In October last year, Dwamena suffered a heart problem and has been advised to step away from football whilst on loan with Real Zaragoza in the Segunda Division in Spain.

The former FC Zurich striker underwent a successful surgery at the Miguel Servet Hospital in Zaragoza last month. Emmanuel has dedicated their win over Planners to his friend, Dwamena.

He pulled out a T-shirt with the inscription “Get well soon Raffa”. An emotional Emmanuel recounted his found memories with the Back Stars striker that dates back to their secondary school days.

"We have been friends since our SHS days, we both attended Kwahu Ridge SHS in Obo Kwahu, Eastern Region and he is my closed pal".

"I even spoke with him yesterday and I want to dedicate our win to him and wish him speedy recovery, I can't wait to see him back to the pitch", he added.

Lions beat Okyeman Planners 1-0 in Kpando to extend their unbeaten run.
