The combative midfielder beat compatriot Joseph Esso to win the maiden supporters' player of the month award for January.
This initiative was incollaboration with the National Chapters Committee (NCC) and other recognised Phobia whatsapp groups as a means to motivate the players both on and off the pitch.
Nettey pulled 5,564 votes to win the ultimate award. A poll was conducted on the club's social media platforms (Twitter and Facebook) for fans of the club to cast their votes between Joseph Esso and Emmanuel Nettey which ended up being a closed contest among the two top players of the team.
Esso pulled 5,534 votes representing 49.86% while fellow Nettey had 5,564 votes also representing 51.14% of votes.
The cash price presentation will be made to Emmanuel Nettey later at the Accra Sports Stadium before the team plays Ashgold at 7pm tonight.
