MATCH PREVIEW: WAFA VS HEARTS

Hearts seeks redemption at the Red Bull Arena today

The most talked about game in the Match Day 4 of the Ghana premier league is certainly that of WAFA vs Hearts of Oak.

Hearts' nightmare at the Red Bull Arena has been the 5-0 annihilation by the academy boys. No Hearts fans will ever forget that embarrassing defeat two seasons ago.

WAFA's stupendous form has seen two games won and a draw so far in the league. Coach Prosper Ogum and his boys will be hoping to chase their 2nd home victory after dispatching Olympics in the Match Day 2.

Hearts of Oak  recorded their first win in the league. It has eased the pressure on the boys and Edward Nii Odoom ahead of this encounter. Odoom managed to make three signings ahead of this game, an indication of a new story to be written here at the Red Bull Arena.

Hearts suffered defeat a 3-2 defeat to WAFA in the NC special competition when they visited here, but it can also be said that, most players who were part of that story had left WAFA and so a new chapter is opened for a new story.

Believe me or not, today's game will see a new turn around, Hearts  will go all out to register its first ever goal in the Ghana premier league against WAFA at the Arena stadium. This goes to say, both teams will score before the end of game.

HEAD TO HEAD

WAFA won narrowly, 3-2 in the NC tournament when hearts visited.

WAFA beat Hearts here 5-0 in 2016/17 season to record the highest goal ever scored against a visiting team.

Hearts is yet to record a single premier league goal against WAFA at the Red Bull Arena. (2014/15, WAFA 0-0 HEARTS,  2015/16 WAFA 3-0 HEARTS, 2016/17 WAFA 5-0 HEARTS)
