Hearts' 2-1 win against Ebusua Dwarfs were enough to send Accra Sports Stadium into an ecstatic joy |
Joseph Esso and Kofi Kordzi two goals from two set pieces were enough to take Hearts of Oak up the ladder of the Ghana premier league table.
Mood at the Accra Sports Stadium was nothing but joyous after Hearts winning for the first time since the start of the 2019/20 league.
Hearts, despite winning missed a couple of chances especially in the first half with Joseph Esso registering his first goal through a superb free kick just 28' into the game.
Early minutes into the second half saw Hearts double their lead through Kofi Kordzi, also from a set piece.
Ebusua Dwarfs pulled one back at the dying embers of the game after a poor defense set up between Mohammed Alhassan and Robert Addo making Albert Ato Hammond to take advantage of scoring Dwarfs only goal of the day.
In a post match interview, head coach of Hearts called for patience for the boys, insisting things will be better.
" I'm pleading with the supporters to be patience with the team, things will change for the better "
Hearts will travel to Sogakope to face WAFA in the on going Ghana premier league on Wednesday.
