The Committee will deliver a two year mandate |
The Ghana Football Association in preparation towards the up coming league, has formed the Referees Appointment Committee to oversee referees work ethics in the league for 2019/20, 2020/21 league seasons respectively.
The Volta Regional Football Association chairman, Mr. Daniel Agbogah has been appointed to the committee as a member and will assist the likes of Christine Ziga, C.W Okine and a TV 3 sports journalist, Michael Oti Adjei, who will serve as the vice chairman on the committee. The committee will be chaired by the winner of the Excutive Council remaining slot contested between the Central and Upper East regional FA chairmen.
Their duties will include a number of responsibilities such as ensuring compliance with the provisions of the regulations on the organization of refereeing in FIFA member association and the GFA referees regulation. The Committee will also recommend the suspension or removal from the referees list, those found to be incompetent or guilty of serious misconduct. This and many more will be the roles of the newly formed appointment committee.
The committee shall serve on a two year mandate and will report directly to the Executive Council.
