The Ghana Taekwondo Federation has appointed Mr Samuel Annor, as Chairman of the Organising Committee for the 11th Korean Ambassador's Cup Taekwondo Championships.
Mr Annor is the Chairman of the Bono Regional Taekwondo Association and doubles as an Executive Board Member of the Federation.
Ordained recently as a Reverend Minister, Mr Annor works with the Sunyani Technical University and also serves as the Chairman of the Para-Taekwondo Committee of the Federation.
The appointment will be his second, having led the Organizing Committee to hold a successful 10th Korean Cup at the Korea Sports Complex in December 2018.
In his address after being appointed Chairman of the committee, Mr. Annor hope to improve upon the publicity of the game, patronage and many other areas as all ten regions are coming together.
"Well, I believe there's always room for improvement. So I aspire to improve upon the successes achieved last year especially as this year's event is the first time bringing all Ten Regions together. We hope to improve upon, organisation, publicity, patronage, level of competition, talent hunt, resource mobilization and others."
The Organising Committee will include the Deputy Secretary General, Master Adnan Lamptey, Technical Director, Stephen Amegashie Jnr, Andrews Ahiagah, Augustus Agbozo and PRO Davis Nii Attuquaye Clottey as members.
Last year's Korea Cup, now Korean Ambassador's Cup Taekwondo Championships saw for the first time the inclusion of Juniors and Cadet. A total number of 292 Athletes participated in last year's event with 31 weight categories from Cadet, Juniors, Para & Seniors.
This year's Korean Ambassador's Cup, to be held at the Korea Sports Complex from December 5-7, comes with a hash tag #KorAmbCupTkd2019.
