MATCH PREVIEW: SHEFFIELD UNITED VS MANCHESTER UNITED

Sheffield will be looking forward for their first ever win against Manchester United at home.

Sheffield United look very motivated  to win this  game especially when you take into account how they have played this season.

Sheffield United have beaten Arsenal at home, while Liverpool needed some luck to win thanks to a mistake from Dean Henderson. The goalkeeper has largely been effective for Sheffield United and his absence this weekend is a blow for Chris Wilder whose first eleven is very predictable.

The absence of their shoot stopper  could make Sheffield United a little more vulnerable to the Manchester United attack  led by Marcus Rashford which has come to life in recent games. After struggling for goals, the return of Anthony Martial has just sparked things for Manchester United and they have now scored at least twice in 4 of their last 5 games in all competitions.

Chances are being created too and I do think the front three of Martial, Marcus Rashford and Daniel James can cause problems for Sheffield United this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United will also be  effective going forward, with the style and approach adopted by Chris Wilder has ended Sheffield United score a lot of goals. Sheffield United will go into this game with the intention of creating lots of chances despite Manchester United possessing one of the rich defence in the EPL this season.

Manchester United will be hoping to extend their win and of course, add up to their points especially when Arsenal had to suffer a drawn game at the mercy of Southampton yesterday.

I am backing at least three goals in this game with two coming from the visitors.

HEAD TO HEAD

Manchester United beat Sheffield United 1-0 at Old Trafford when these teams last met in January 2016.

Sheffield United have lost 4 in a row at home against Manchester United, but the last of those games was in November 2006.
