Father of Ghanaian international, Jacob Partey has confirmed in an interview on Accra based radio station, Kingdom FM that his son, Thomas Partey will foot the bill of the fine imposed on Awal Suleman who invaded the pitch in an attempt to take a picture with the Atletico Madrid Star.
Awal Suleman was arrested and prosecuted at the Cape Coast circuit court 'B' for illegally invading the pitch while Ghana hosted South Africa in the Afcon 2021 qualifiers in Cape Coast Sport Stadium.
Sportsbiggesthint.com can confirm that, Thomas Partey has decided to assist the famous pitch invader to pay his fine to the sum of 2,400 Ghana cedis.
Awal's dream of taking a picture with his idol was met after the player gifted him his number 5 jersey he wore on the night.
This comes as a relief for the ex 400m sprinter who, failure to pay the fine will serve a jail term for three months.
