GHALCA PROPOSES DECEMBER 15 FOR A REPLAY OF THE PRESIDENT'S CUP

Hearts and Kotoko will battle it out for the ultimate trophy

The Ghana League Club Association (GHALCA) has put forward 15th of December for a rematch of the President's Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Kotoko hosted Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in September for the President's Cup but was rained off due to the heavy downpour.

If approved, the two giants will once again meet to finish the unfinished business at the nation's Wembley, the Accra Sports Stadium on 15th December 2019.

The game will serve as a curtain raiser and a preparation for the two teams ahead of the Ghana Premier League slated on 21st of December, this year.

Hearts of Oak will be looking forward to begin the season with a win as head coach, Kim Grant was on record to have said he will win the league this season.

Kotoko on the other side has been in the news lately, having been eliminated from the on going CAF Confederations Cup and eventually sacking Kjetil Zachariassen as head coach of the club due to non performance.

The President's Cup remains a ceremonial match to mark the birth of Ghana and will climax the 6th March Independence Day Anniversary.
