The only female aspirant in the GFA presidential election contest was yesterday mocked by a section of social media users for not given her best during the debate.
The aspirant seemed lost at most of the questions asked as it was obvious she had no idea about most of them.
But moments after the debate, her team issued a statement to clear the air, citing reasons behind her poor show on the night.
“ though Amanda Clinton at times appeared unprepared during yesterday's debate she showed signs of leadership.
Powering through the debate though hearing her father had just been admitted for a stroke the second time just two hours before the debate, Amanda kept her composure throughout"
This sought to explain the female lawyer and one time lawyer of the Ghana Football Association of her unpreparedness for the GFA presidential debate.
If performance of the various aspirants on the night is anything to go by, it means Ms Amanda Clinton who on the night could not give a good account of herself will see less votes from delegates.
The election remain a keen contest amongst aspirants who over the periods have established themselves at the least opportunity given.
The elections will be held on Friday, October 25.
